Yes but if it isn't on your realm, you can realm hop and get it on another and get the exp.

....you do realize that treasures are personal, right? If someone picks up a treasure you will still see it, but they won't.

You're talking about the Draenor treasures. I'm talking about the ones in Tanaan Jungle.

You could even level a bit while you sleep by placing your character near mob spawn points and using a key sender/auto clicker like Chimpeon to auto kill...

Tanaan Jungle treasures are still personal and additionally are for lvl 100. I think you mean those chests respawning that you can loot apexis fragments for the quest from (not even sure if you can pick them up under lvl 100), and yea they are server dependant, but it takes much longer than simply flying around draenor and collecting normal treasures + occasionally clearing bonus objectives.
