locked account need advice

So i bought an account in the early Mop from a random guy and played on it for a while. it was all good for a few months. I was given the CD key and the SQ of the account as well. No ID was shared cause the account was created in a fake name (a name that no real person could ever have i assume) it was "meanmachine". so i contacted blizzard about it and managed to get it change to my first and last name.

the problems started to come after like ~~3-4 months after i bought the account. someone had requested to get the account back from blizzard (i could only assume it was the seller cause the cd key was provided to them) i asked the seller (still had him on skype) but he said it wasnt him (my guess is he was lieing, a week or two later he had deleted me from skype).

since we were now 2 people who had the cd key and the secret question blizzard requested a picture of my ID next to the blizzard box showing the cd key of the account. this is something that i could never provide cause i bought the account. the seller however couldnt provide that either cause he claimed it was bought from a cdkey retailer called randyrun (he claimed this when i boight the account and sent the pic of an cd key)

so my question is, would it be possible somehow to get this account back? like photoshop a pic with my id and the cd key? or by doing something else?

TL;DR

Bbought an account, seller tried to retreive it, no one of us could prove we are the owner. Would it be possible to photoshop my id together with the cd key, or somehow else get it back? if not what would you guys do? Its not like it matters a lot cause ive got a new account. its just i had a lot of gold in a guildbank that wouldnt hurt to get back now.

Why don't you just send a picture of your ID next to a newspaper or something and say you threw the box away long time ago? Or am I missing something obvious.

since both the original owner and me treid to get it back it HAS to be with the box showing the cd key, therefor it wont work with posting it with a newspaper.

Okay but what if the CD key in question was thrown out years ago like Alissa said? Its quite possible that you wrote it down for future reference and then got rid of the box. I feel like they'll have to accommodate you in some way given that situation. Otherwise you can try to verify the account by giving them a credit card number attached to the account, for example.

Can't you just show them some ID, and say that you bought the CD key (not account obv) online? Then tell them that whoever you bought the key from is trying to steal your account or something, since they'd know the key aswell.

no. the only option is to show my ID next to the physical box showing the cd key and my id on the same picture. so would this be hard to photoshop?

I'm surprised if they give you the account back, I contacted them 3 times recently because I have 2 accounts but I made one in my brothers name and they refused to change the one in my brothers name to my name even though I had a picture of his ID and a signed letter with him holding it saying that he didnt make the account and its mine. The account was even bought with a credit card in my name. Blizzard GM's are just a bunch of *******s.

Also no its not hard to photoshop but if they were desperate enough you can use programs that help you find out if a photo has been edited in photoshop, I know that because Ive used one. I dont think they would go through the trouble of doing that though.
