Any ideas how to make big amounts of gold in high pop servers?

Hello guys im new in the farming bissness BUT i want to know how to make gold ? Im in high pop server (ragnaros) is this a problem? I saw alot videos for gold making around 5-6k per hour but all i get is 1-1.5k gold in 1hour........ im doing same things like the dude in the video buts its not working am i doing something wrong?Can you give more information about gold farming like best time to do , best spots , professions etc.:confused:

Usually it is because technique used by "this dude" in his video was fixed and no longer generating high profit. You must find your personal method and keep it in secret, that is key.

A few addons can help you track AH.

download TSM and auctionator and read a few guides on how to use them.

You always have these "public" farming spots, which will work for about 2 weeks and then the drop rate or mobs get nerfed, and its busy on those spots 24/7.. Watching YT vids isnt the best way on making the same amount of gold and sometimes they also take in the "BoE" drops that can take weeks for selling.. i remember in the last days of MoP people were making 20-25k per hour, which ofc wasent true, they farmed items that were worth 20-25k but it took weeks/months to sell.. Playing the AH is probably the best way, it can be a bet sometimes but if you read up on some guides and which addons to use you can start off by practicing with low priced items before moving up to the big game.. good luck anyways..

TSM isn't hard to learn. If you're not willing to put in the time master an addon that in truth doesn't take much to master then you most likely will never put in the effort to make decent amounts of gold.

If this is the case; stick to clearing cata 25m HC instances on all your alts.

TSM just help you to manage your materials,how to turn them into gold this is step 2 (for me) i ask for step 1 The gold farming those crafting materials , gears , etc have to be taken from somewhere,and after that used in TSM

Well I think you're kinda wrong in what you think TSM does. It does all that you mentioned above, but so much much much more. Secondly, in terms of farming there are only a handful of good spots - none of which should be done in Draenor mainly because if you've got 3 lvl 100 chars u can gain all the resources passively through barn (fur/leather/savage bloods), mine (ore) and herb garden (herbs). If you do the math you get around 350-400g from the lvl 3mine+garden each day if you bother with it.

When watching videos on youtube don't be so naive as to think that you can get 20k/hour from farming a certain place or instance because thats simply untrue and everyone would be super rich if they did it. These videos often show a super rare drop that they get in 15mins thats worth 10k and then they extrapolate that information and say that u can make 40k/hour because of that one drop thats worth 10k - which is obviously untrue.

If you're looking for places to farm, check ur AH see what sells for decent amounts, this could be transmog, recipies, old trade goods etc etc etc. After you find something that you think you can farm, go on wowhead.com read the comments, see what other people have said (focus on new comments from patch 5 and onwards), then go and do the work. The reason people won't share their spots is mainly because a)it'll get over farmed by real humans or bots b)it'll lose its value when more people know about it c)the more people that know about it the larger the chances are that the spot will get nerfed.

Some of the best spots to farm in MoP were Pit of Saron HC for the battered hilt + frostweave cloth and Heroic Grim Batol for greens and embersilk now both these places arent even worth 1k/hours because botters run it 24/7 forcing blizzard to nerf the spots and i've even heard of non-botters getting banned.... The same can be said for countless other spots.

The truth is you're better off leveling loads of chars to lvl 100, getting a lvl 3 garrison, having a lvl 3 barn + lvl 3 inn, stacking loads of treasure hunter and scavenger followers and using the profession buildings to craft ilvl 640 epics. You can easily make 4-5k/day just from refreshing missions on 4-5 lvl 100 alts and crafting boe epic gear every 4-7 days and this will take you a fraction of time compared to how much you'll spend farming.

If you're hellbent on farming i suggest searching youtube, google, wow gold blogs. you'll eventually find something half decent - provided that the spot hasnt been nerfed.

I've played on high-pop realms pretty much since the begining of WOW. My best tip is to know when to walk away.

On a high pop server the margins can often be really small and the effort really high. Rather than getting frustrated or wasting your time, look for other markets that are more profitable. Often I've found that gold making on a high-pop server is kind of like those puzzle boards where you have one open space and to slide all the blocks around until they are all in the right order or they form a picture.

You have to just keep searching and trying. You will eventually find a market that you can take advantage of for a while until others catch on, then you switch to another market.

Of course there are some markets that you should just never ever ditch or run away from. But when you want to really enjoy gold making then rather enjoy the process of being innovative and creative rather than spending hours and hours battling it out for just about no gain.

Alternatively... It may take you awhile to establish yourself in what can probably be best described as "other peoples' markets", but just keep doing what you're doing (for the most part) and the high-pop volume will eventually start kicking in.
