Well, back in... April let's say... I sold my account. Ebay. 70 shaman and 70 rogue and 63 hunter. $400.

I really want a shaman/rogue, and i was thinking of speedleveling a new one of those when patch 2.3 comes out.

But then today I thought... why don't I just retrieve my account and say it was stolen? You know... like a really slow scam. The guy can't get his money back through Ebay because it WAS an illegal transaction, and there's no proof to be had that I had anything to do with it.

So... should I do it? Or is there something I'm missing here that would bite me in the ass if i did?

Of course I wouldn't like it, but it is a lot like... buying crack. (example, never have :P) If you buy crack and it gets stolen, its really just too bad because its illegal and thats one of the rules that goes with illegal trading :P I would understand it fully, and every time I make a purchase from an internet person I go over that lesson with myself.

recall , sell it again for 400$ , recall it and now you have 800$ and a account thats been leveled/geared for you : ) (just dont give the CD-kEys on the acc!)

If you have a heart of ice, like me, then go ahead and recall it. Recently my account with my 70 shammy and 19 twink 'lock was recalled. I bought it from my friend's brother, who had bought it from his friend, who had bought it from this guy that goes to my school. So I have no idea who took my damn account but I've been going on a scamming rampage lately because I've been so pissed and have gotten about 5 accounts so far. Going to decide which one to keep soon.

But anyway, if you don't mind f*cking someone over, then by all means take your account back. At least you're shaman and rogue will have better gear.

I don't know where the guy transferred my rogue so I have no way to see it's gear... it was still in blues and a couple of S1 epics because I leveling it and played a few days and dropped it (like I normally do, I have a problem.)

The only thing im worried about is my family seeing that I have my account back, they helped me sell it (used their paypal etc)... Im not really sure what Ill say. As for consequences, there are none that I know of. My ebay auction said all sales final and its been 5~ months since then so I dont think the guy will say anything to be or ebay about it. He definitely cant call blizzard or anything so...

I just need to figure out how to get the account back since he changed the email on the account...

Personally I wouldn't do it, probably cause I have never stole from anyone, I have a guilty conscious. Plus I wouldn't want that done to myself. The majority of users on this site are kids, don't argue with me cause the polls prove it, and don't care if you screw some one out of their hard earned money. Screwing someone over in a game is one thing, screwing someone out of their money is another.

Just go pay the 20$ for glider and level a character. It's easy I have multiple 70s because of glider and unlimited gold.

getting an account is the problem, I dont have one at all right now... trying to find someone that will trade for a STEAM/BF2142/GW account.

Even then... ive never used glider and would probably get caught. That and I dont have $20 right now :P

I'm one who likes to keep visual logs of transactions like this.

Screenshots of conversations regarding the transaction on msn/yahoo, or whatever.. Screenshots of the paypal transactions, dates/times..

If it happened to me, i'd simply e-mail blizz and provide them with all of the information I have.. Tell them to check the account logs, see that at this date in time (after the paypal transfer,) my IP was the one logging in to the account up until today, when it was recalled.

Yeah, I know, they won't give the account back to me, by any means, but they will investigate it, and more than likely ban. And that would be good enough for me =) If i'm out the money, and account, then the person who recalled it is going to be out of the account as well.. hehe

first he may have transfered, 2 he CAN do a distupe and 3 listen to piggy, this happen to me a guy recalled his account and i wasted 300bucks and i still try to get that account back

I couldnt do that to another indvidual lol unless 400$ was pocket change to them :P i donno .. 400$ takes some work to get XD .. little fd up if you do XD
