World of Warcraft patch will enable the resurrection of deleted characters

I found this quite interesting, I once deleted a character to quit the game a long time ago, I wonder if I will be able to recover him as such.

What are your thoughts guys?

There will be a time limit. Not sure how long that will be, but you won't be able to go past it.

Sadly there will be a limit, because Blizzard doesn't have logs from back to let's say 2006-7. That is what the GM's told me a bunch of times anyway

We'll have to wait and see. I'm still hopping Blizzard will find some of the old log files doodled down on some sheets of paper

Yeah the logs from then won't be available probably 2009+ probably which would be helpful still

I feel like a loner here. Why would someone delete such a high toon? Maybe a noob question, but I've played about every toon in the game to a high level. Even when I stopped playing I didn't delete them. What am I missing?

Well sometimes people who quit WoW delete their characters to ensure that they wont come back playing WoW again.

I've deleted quite a few 80+ characters, for space on realms i've played on. Two or 3 90s also.

I wonder how this will affect merged accounts, if the logs go back then some people might hit it lucky with deleted toons.

I think that the new system they implement will log NEW deletions, not dig up old ones... Just like the item restoration feature
