A New AFK Strategy.

As we all now know, the AFK report option is now available in all BG's. Now is the time to overcome it.

Anyone who wants to write a program should keep in mind that the program would have to be able to get the player into PVP combat to remove this new debuff. The big problem with this is that there is no way of telling where PvP opponents are. Furthermore, the intention of all botting is to idealy go unnoticed by other players.

I hope to god that our AFK time isnt over. I'm gonna start playing with the game, WoWglider, and other programs to see if I can put something together.

That doesnt mean I'm gonna find anything, so try to develop something on your own as well.

The intention of this thread is to share knowledge so that we can find a new way to BG AFK by sharing out finds. Dont flame me with "omg No questions, no questions, no questions!"

So far:
Alternate ways of entering combat such as bloodthirst dont take the debuff off.
Debuff removing skills dont work (obviously)
You barely get reported if you stand in your base
Attacking non-pvp targets doesnt work. (Rams)
Indirect PvP related yet not player targets dont work. (Kobold, Trogg)'
You must preform a spell or action related to PvP (damage) in order to remove the debuff. (You can't just get hit by the horde.)
Mainstream PvE fights such will not remove the debuff (Commander XXX, Warmaster/Marshal, Drek/Van)
Ressurecting/Healing someone who died/is in PvP combat will remove the debuff.
PvP Trinkets do not remove the debuff.
PvP Buffs (Beserker/Restoration) Do not remove the debuff.
The Alliance suck at AV; All AV's are now officially turtles.
Picking up the flag (EoTS, WSG) does not remove the debuff

How about alterac valley? You know where the opposing npcs are at all times (as long as they aren't dead). And I believe that the Kobolds are pvp targets.

I'm super glad I had the sense to take advantage of the situation before it was to late and get all my Epic BG gear.

However, I'm also super pissed that I didnt have to sense to keep it up and bank some honor for the tier 1 gladiator set (when it comes out).

I am actually writing a BG bot at the moment.
The main features will be:

Ability to run around in BGs (looks a tad retarded at the moment).
Attack randomly using ingame macro scripts.
Automatically log in and out of BGs.

I'm still working on it but its looking good so far.

I will only release when i decide that its ready.

If you decide to afk in WSG, then you can do the little wall jump into that stream at the top of the Horde base.

The current best way to AFK is to just go fight until you die, release, then ghost run to a remote location and then run your clicker/keystroke program or whatever you use. It won't help for completely automating things since you still have to play at least a little bit. But you do show some damage done/taken on the scoreboard and maybe a few HKs as well. People who are looking to report AFKers usually just look for zeros across the board, so you'll slip under the radar of all but the most observant.
