Preface: This will be my thread I'll be updating taking a character from nothing to gold capped, something I have accomplished five times now in my time of playing world of warcraft. I will be including video & images along the way, this will be updated several times a day. I will also be answering questions & helping anyone out in this thread if they seek any aid. I do not claim to be the best gold maker in WoW, but I'm seasoned when it comes to gold making.
=======================================================================
So after years of raking in gold on realms such as Tichondrius, Mal'Ganis & Wyrmrest Accord I decided to abandon my pre-established gold hulks to begin a new challenge. It was a combination of being bored (unchallenged) and a friend doubting my ability to become gold capped on a new realm with no previous setup / outside help. We had held this discussion many times with the only thing preventing me from taking it on was the fact that I hate leveling characters. He reminded me I had yet to pick up the expansion which comes with a free level 90 boost & with that being stated I purchased the new xpac via Blizzard store & spawned my new level 90 character.
The next move to make was to decide which class I wanted to use. Knowing that I'll be doing everything from professions, to solo farm I needed a class that could take excessive damage with some sort of heal. Eventually after a 10 minute war between logics I selected a monk & my target realm. While selecting realms I wanted something where the demand would be high across all avenues, as well as the Alliance side since I was sick of horde. I picked a pvp realm which was towards the top on pve progress & rolled my new human monk (visual preference).
Day #1:
Upon logging in I hit the mailbox, opened the old package you get for hitting level 80 (or 85) which included the Health, Mana, Haste Potions & Fireworks. All irrelevant & worth a few gold on the auction house so they were posted, I went & picked up Enchanting / Tailoring professions in which I'll be power leveling those in the near future once I establish a bank roll of sorts from my initial sales.
With so many options on where to begin, I did my initial scan of the auction house then proceeded to one of my favorite places to transmog farm.
After an hour in Silithus I was capable of picking up about 3-4k worth of xmog items, I proceeded to SW to post up the transmog gear & spent the final 75g I had on 3 potions of luck. After an hour in Vale farming keys I acquired about 600 liquid gold & 300 raw gold. By no means is this anything to hoot & holler about but it gave me flip money which was what I was after - I used it to flip a few old world patterns I found on the AH for 25g. If they still they will bring in a few hundred gold each.
Day #2
I began my second day by running LFRs, I picked up a few coins in the process & improved my gear a bunch. After the LFR's I checked for undercuts - removed my auctions I was undercut on & reposted them. I was able to snag a Vanguard Breastplate for 100g which I'll flip for 6-8k. I was also able to pick up Bloodlust Breastplate which I'll flip @ 5-7k. I also snagged a Tasty Lion Steak recipe for 25g which I'll sell @ IDK yet.
Update: While typing this my Vanguard plate just sold for 7k.

Since I was capable of acquiring gold through my flip sales, I decided to power level tailoring high enough to pick up the cloth drop benefit. Due to a busy schedule that will be all that I do today.
Day #3
