OK,
Like alot of people I didn't come here until it was too late.
I used the fishing bot with autoit and was perma banned.
I never used any hack program other than autoit fishing. I was given no warning, just perma ban.
I was actually semi watching the bot. (Checking on it every now and then)
when I heard a mob beating on me, which had mysteriously aggroed me. So I killed it and bam booted. I tried to relog wondering if it was the maintenance scheduled for today and got the account closure message.
So I waited for the email and here it is:
***Notice of Account Closure***
Access to the World of Warcraft account ***** and any World of Warcraft account associated with the payment information you have provided, has been permanently disabled. The account has been identified as having used unauthorized game modifications and thus is in violation of the World of Warcraft Terms of Use. The recurring subscription on the account has been disabled to prevent further charges.
Please review the World of Warcraft Terms of Use at http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/legal/termsofuse.html, which you accepted when you installed World of Warcraft and established the account(s). Section 2, Paragraph C details the limitations of game play modifications and use of any third-party or “packet sniffing” software. In addition, Section 3, Paragraph C, parts iii and iv restrict the use of any hack, scripting or macroing software which obtains information from World of Warcraft to gain a competitive advantage over other players.
Furthermore, any activities not intended by game design which affect the economy, the client, player characters or the world itself have a tremendous negative impact on the potential enjoyment for all players. The effects of these activities take many forms including a bloated game economy, server instability, and allowing unauthorized access to accounts, computers, and player data.
As a result, the account(s) will no longer be accessible and will unfortunately not be reopened under any circumstances.
Any disputes or questions concerning this account action can only be addressed by Account Administration. To learn more about how Account Administration is able to assist you, please visit us at http://www.blizzard.com/support/wowaa/.
Thank you for your understanding in this matter and respecting our position and all statutes within the World of Warcraft Terms of Use.
Soo, I guess this is just a warning to all you wanting to use a fishing bot. There is no 72 hour final warning. It is just perma ban. I lost 2 years of work.
I never used any other kind of bot or hack. Most likely someone reported me. But somehow they knew i was using a autoit script. I was even moving my character around normaly and did not have the script running at the time of the boot. ( I had to kill the aggroed mob, where I have fished many, many times and never been aggroed before).
So looks like my time with WoW has come to an end. I won't start over. Not after all this time.
So all please head yet another warning.
