Indeed! The basic box of World of Warcraft now includes all expansions up to and including Cataclysm. If you're looking to get a friend caught up they'd only need to purchase World of Warcraft and Mists of Pandaria to have all available game content.

Yup..I was on the 10-day Cata trial, as usual was doing my pew pew BGs and boom, I leveled. I was like WTF? Checked all my Battlechest accounts and saw them upgraded to Cata.
