Professions/ Gold Making

I've been out of WoW for a couple years. Back at 80 I used to make TONS of gold and sell it by botting ores, prospecting and selling. Also buying/farming greens and d/c them.

I just got back into it and hit 90 and have no idea how to make gold or where the market is at. Could anyone give me some tips or ways to make gold fast?

Well, its still exactly the same. Bot the Ore/Herbs, shuffle them into professions stuff, and ah it.

The stuff in WoW is still the same, you bot the most wanted mats and you AH them. Nothing really changed.

I'm not some kind of a professional gold maker who sells his stuff after he makes a ton of it, but here's some of what I do whenever I need some gold. I've been hunting Thundermaws for like 3-4 days straight and I've got 7 skyshards already, however, they also have a big chance of getting mote of harmony + various green items - assuming you also buy yourself a Potion of Luck, they drop these little baskets where you can find trillium ores, gold, green items and all kind of profession stuff. If you got Skinning to 600 you can also farm a lot of skins on these - on my realm, Burning Legion EU, the spot near the Mistfall Village is empty - nobody hunts them and I've got the whole spot for myself - each time I finish killing them in the area they respawn so I never have to camp or something like that.

Quick conclusion:
- Skinning to 600 -> Kill Thundermaw -> Trade Spirit of Harmony for Ghost Iron ores/bars and AH them. They got like 49 gold/stack at my server and after like 3-4h of farming I've got ~1500 gold. Don't forget about the Potion of Luck - it gives you an additional drop chance for a box that contains a lot of nice stuff for 20 minutes. It's like 70g on my realm, no idea about yours - shouldn't be that expensive assuming it's a populated realm.
