Question about recovering accounts...

I recently bought an account, I had the email set to mine, the guy gave me the recovery answer, and pretty much everything except the CD key.

Yesterday, while in game I couldn't log on to the forums... scared I tried logging on to account management...no dice...

So I decided to trade all my valuables to another account before logging off because I assumed I was getting my account scammed....

basically after I traded my ~800 gold off I logged off and couldn't log back in (no surprise)

I then did an account password recovery but the secret answer etc didn't work (dunno if it's the answer or the email)

So I decided to do an account name recovery, but in the list of accounts on my email my newly bought account was no longer there (it was when I had first switched the email)

basically my questions is this.

If he used the CD key to recover the account, why is it that I received no email regarding the email change attached to the account?

Is there a way of checking how he got the account back?

If not is there any other way than the CD key?
