any way to reset contents of "stendel's bane" (loot container)

so if you are fishing in stendels pond at westfall, you have a small chance to receive stendels bane, a fish that can be opened and has a chance to contain stendels wedding band, a rare twink item, is there anyway to reset the contents of the bane, I remember hearing that if you wait for server maintenance, that after maintenance the contents of the bag would be reset, is this true, are there any other ways?

its not just server maintence, i think it's like complete patches, like you would need to wait till 5.4 if you want to reset it.
