Buying gold

Hey. A few months ago i bought 30k gold from the same site i've been using for 7years or so. 7 Hours later i received an offical in-game mail from blizzard telling me to check my email account thats registered to world of warcraft.

They just said the problems when people buy gold and the effect it has on the game. They didnt remove the gold or ban/suspend me. A friend of mine also bought some gold, from a different site and only 5000. he also got an email 7 hours after with the same message.

I'd like to buy some gold again but it seems blizzard have a new detection method? Any tips/advice/suggestions?

I'd suggest using MMOKings - Ket, one of the forum admins, runs it.

I've always bought my gold from there - and never had an issue.

It's slightly pricier than some sites; but that extra dollar or two makes it safer, you could also check the trade forums here - people sell gold all the time.

I don't think that they changed anything. When buying gold, using hacks and bots or anything that is related to breaking the rules of the game, your luck is the most important factor. As you said, you've been using the site for 7 years, and now you got noticed. You probably see that as a bad luck, while on the other side, it seems to me that you're very lucky for being able to do that for straight 7 years.

Just be happy you're not banned and chill for some time, take a few months break from doing anything against the rules and you should be fine.

I guess i thought buying gold wasnt a big deal. i've been buying loads for 7years and finally got some notice on me :[

seems kinda random that both you and your friend, buying from the same site, getting the same email.. are you sure it isnt just a fake mail / spam?

Im pretty sure it was the real deal. The in-game mail i got had the blue logo and only told me to check the email account which the wow account was registered to
