well depends on what you are going for, pve pvp etc. i used to do pve in wotlk. then in cata i only made gold. in mop gold/pvp. so it is all about the mood
i find it very important to play with someone, even talking on skype or some,
Yes i thought that too, but no one wants to play wow..
well theres many options. like a guild, try to get some friends there, thats what i did![]()
I've been playing off and on since vanilla. During that whole time I have never played with someone I know irl. I definitely think it's fun.
Depends on your personality OP. some people can play alone and be fine, some people need conversation or relationships. Im more of the latter, i wont even play single player games anymore because i feel disconnected from everyone. If you are an extrovert type, id say go for it, the game is actually pretty grabbing for a new player and you will get hooked and have fun, dont listen to anyone saying its crap that has been playing for 2+ expansions, they are living in the past (myself included, the game will never be what it was in vanilla or BC, but you dont know that world so you wont miss it). Pick a high pop realm, the medium/low pops are dying off quick and everyone is migrating to higher pops, so be careful where you pick![]()
Should i just buy an unmerged account? Alli or horde i think i'll play PvP![]()
Admittedly I started playing WoW with real life friends, but you WILL find yourself separated from them in no time at all once you find out who the more casual one is. Within 3 months of starting an account on the same day as my best friend, I was max level, in full normal mode raid gear, and had just been accepted to a very competitive 25 man progression guild. A month or two later and I was tied for top 5 geared rogues on the server and pulling top 10 DPS in the world for my spec on multiple fights every week. I also had a couple of alts well on their way to max level. My best friend had a couple of level 10s and a level 23 by then. He obviously did not want to put in as much time as me, and even now a few years later his highest character isn't 90 yet and he seems to play more than I do.
My point is... play if you want to begin playing. Even if you start playing with friends either you or them is going to progress much faster and leave the other in the dust.
I think i'll start at WoW again alone without any IRL friends.
Where can i get a cheap account as well as gametime?
Any suggestions on which server i should start playing on and i really don't know if i should go PvP or PvE what would be the most fun alone? you know without IRL friends?![]()
Depends if you are looking for progression raids or pvp. I was having some fun @ Stormscale Horde EU (I'm a heavy PVP-er, literally never left orgrimmar since I dinged it was AH > Arena > AH > BG and repeat) but if you wanna pull some nice raids Outland/Ravencrest Alliance should do it for you.
If it's worth playing well.. A forum dedicated to WoW exploits and such has a LOT more hits then blizzard forums. And that should tell you everything you need to know. It's the only fun remaing, mess with blizzard. You might find the game fun tho who knows. I've never tried the pokemon battles.
I've started on WoW!
I've made a Priest on Kazzak EU Horde
I think i'll be focusing on PvE!
PM if you want to play and is on the same server!
Good choice, that server is top if you look at gold buyers =D Has a decent PVE community I guess.
Of course it's worth it
You will manage fine without IRL friends.
The only scenario where IRL friends can be really handy is if you want to focus on arena.
YES! Just don't become to overwhelmed and try to play too much, take it slow at first, but have fun.
