Buying WoW Gold

Alright, so I bought 5k gold the other night and about 7 hours after I got my gold I got an email from blizzard about not buying gold. It was a face to face trade. My question is should I lay low for a while before I buy some more gold or could I buy gold and have it done through the AH instead of face to face and not get in trouble. I bought from MMO-kings and I bought small amount at first to test them out and see how it goes. It went good besides the email I got from blizzard.

F2F trades are retarded, imo. Buy from private sellers who provide an option to trade gold via guild bank - it is pretty much untraceable and nearly absolutely safe.

I'd advise you look in the "WoW market" section of ownedcore. Great repped sellers there selling for good prices, and if you still aren't satisfied I would create a thread in that section with the prefix "WTB", followed by the amount of gold, realm and region. As ziggeh said, guild bank transfers are the safest option other than the AH method (which takes a 5% tax). Mail is the absolute worst, got picked up for sending 4.4k to a separate account, earned me a 24 hour suspension.


And are you sure the email is legit? It might be a fake, if they caught you they would probably slap a 72hr suspension on your account rather than an email.

Yea it was a legit email. I got an in-game mail from blizzard telling me to check my email. It looked like a normal blizzard in-game mail. The email was just explaining that buying gold is not good and that they use unethical procedures. I even went and copied the link locations and pasted them into my address bar and they were all legit web addresses so yea, it was a legit email.
