GM Island disappointment

So I copied my character to the MoP beta realm, (level 2 orc on GM Island) and I expected to see something new there (maybe textures, or me falling to my death due to moving the island maybe?) but when I logged on to my character this was what I saw.

The regular non-textured GM Island.

I did this a couple of months ago and noticed that the only difference from Live was that the "area trigger" messages were gone.
I got some prints at home showing it, can link later.

they *probably* aren't going to waste resources on it. think of it this way, if it takes 5 hours for someone to design, add and test things on gm island, at about 30 dollars an hour, why would they spend the resources on something that no one is supposed to see?

Well if you understand what GM is and what he does everyday ,you would not believe there is such place like GM Island
