    Something i've been thinking about

Alright... on my server i usually farm primal mana, for my first week or so, i was selling them for about 20g a piece. Then the next week about 19... and now i can barely sell them at 19, because 1 or 2 guys will undercut me at 17... but if i drop mine to the mid-range i sell them almost instantly (i'm talking 5-10 at a time) So what if... i bought out the low range guys, which are usually around 17g, then reposted for say... 19g. Probably only a 1g profit after the auction fee's and what nots. But with a big enough capital you could turn it into a easy 50g-100g a day.

There's lots of guys running this tactic, but not with as low profit as you're talking about. It's not worth it. You'll just get another guy putting them up cheaper than you the whole time meaning you've just bought something that will not sell anyhow =P
If you are to try something like this, you will have to be very talented at it.

    Here is the plan:

    1. Select an inelastic product with relative high price.
    2. Define the price you want to sell it (don't be very greedy unless you know what you are doing).
    3. Buy ALL of them from AH that are priced below the one you are intending to sell and do that for 2 - 3 days until you make a good profit.

Notes: It would be better to sell them with at least 3 different chars (alts) for not being so obvious what you are doing.

Re: Something i've been thinking about

Lol. I did that once. I was selling about 16g each from my usual 13g30s. People started undercutting me so then I bought them and replaced for 16g and I kept getting undercut so I went down to 14g each and sold very quickly. In the meantime I farmed more mana's to recompensate my lost gold.

I had about 40+ primal manas on the AH at 14g lol.
