slow patch speeds with brand new computer???

I just got a brand new computer for christmas. And for some reason, im only getting a 80/kbs download speed for the blizzard launcher? I did all the port forwarding and what not and turned off firewalls, add exceptions to the program in windows security but its still wont go over 100/kbs. Yet if i turned on bit torrent to download some other 15 gig file or patch it will give me a 800-1.2meg download speed....

Turn off peer-to-peer and restart the downloader. Report back after you test the speed.

Make sure you have p2p disabled on the blizzard downloader

same speed. tried resetting my router and renewing/releasing IP address to see if tat worked too. restarted computer. Turned ALL background programs off. nothingelse is connected to the internet in my house other than this computer.. and im still getting the same speed.

Maybe just a bliz prob.
Their update servers arent the best.

Lots of people got new computer during holiday so probably too many downloading patches at once.

Also do you know what else is being downloaded to your computer? OS update, AV update (I hope you do have AV), manufacture specific updates like HP, etc.

ya im running on wireless, i use to get around 800/kbs with wireless and im not sure why its so slow now.
