Scanning Auctionhouses with more than 40k auctions

Hi.

I play on a Realm with about 60-70k Auctions. The GetAll download with Auctioneer doesn't work because theres a 40k limitation. It tooks me 1h 30min to do a complete Scan with the classic pagewise method.

So now my idea was: Is it able to download the 70k auctions from the armory xml api to use with auctioneer? I never used the api before and i don't know which data could be requested from the api.

For me i can only do this in python or php but i think a windows service or prog is needed that pull the hole stuff automaticaly and parse/translate it and than save it to the WTF folder to use it with Auctioneer. So you don't need to waste time scanning the AH any more, the prog did this in the background and outside wow.

Isn't this a good idea?

afaik TSM or one of its plugins has this feature.
I dont know though if it will work for you if you use TSM for the sole purpose of scanning.

The online auctionhouse is very limited, you can for instance only post like 40 auctions there now. Your idea might be sound, but I'm afraid there might be a max amount of requests per second kind of thing going on here. Keep us updated if you manage to progress this idea tho.

Personally I've fully migrated over to TradeSkillMaster addon now because it does the job of both auctioneer and auctionator combined plus SOOOOOOOOOOOO much more.

The huge benefit about using TSM is being able to use it's AutoUpdater desktop application which then updates your AuctionDB Data files directly from WoW's AH API every hour. So your database is getting updated every single hour automatically without you needing to do anything and therefore giving you some of the most accurate pricing data on your server.

There is also an auto-updater for MACs somewhere on that forum and I know they are also currently developing a new auto-updater that allows updating multiple server's AuctionDBs at the same time.
