Botting or Sniping

Here is a little thread to see which we prefer, botting or sniping for gold!

Post below with your reasoning behind why one is better.

Personally I don both but sniping kind of makes me feel bad compared to botting where I just run it and sleep happily.

Much more stable income-wise than sniping.

Sniping, less riskier if you do it in chunks. Wouldn't bot because all you need is one report that you're AFK Botting and a GM to investigate.

Sniping is hit or miss, I have tried it many times but never get any items.

I prefer botting. I seem to get more gold that way. They'res not many Neutral AH transfers on my server.

Botting: Stable income, you're much more likely to have enough gold to fund whatever your wanting to get.
Sniping: Jumps of income, you can either get ~100g in one night, compared to the 5k (depends on server) you would get from botting, or you could get 30k to the 5k you could get from botting.

IMHO, it boils down to A) Whichever you like better, and B) whether you want to see huge jumps in your gold amount and risk, or slow and steady and safe.

Botting f or a stable income. Sniping for less risk of a ban and a gamble on if you get profit.

People will transfer valuable items (for example, Apparatus of Khaz'goroth) from Alliance to Horde (or vice versa) over the Neutral AH so they can get gold on their alts. They will usually put this item for a really cheap price, like less than 100g, so they can log over to their alt and buy that. Then, you (or your bot) buys the item out for 100g, and voila, you just made an easy 10-15k profit.

Botting, I'm on a low pop server and nothing really happens when trying to snipe.

Botting is a lot more viable, stable income and no risk of being killed, camped, and not speaking about the 10 other level 1 that are trying to snipe.
