Why is Horde better than Alliance?

I was talking to a few people at a cafe recently, and they're Horde players. They say Horde is better than Alliance. My brother also thinks so, and so do friends of mine who play. The only person I know of who plays Alliance (but also plays Horde) is my cousin. I have never met anyone IRL who plays Alliance. So this raises the question as to why Horde is better, and give me valid reasons why Horde is better.

They are not better.
I play ally.
But your are right. There are more horde players then alliance. Personally I like beeing on the underdog team. I would never change factions. Horde stinks.
It may be because:

1. kids thinks horde chars looks cooler
2. Older players playde Orcs in warcraft 1+2.

It's a general misunderstanding that they are "better". My belive is that most people wanna play the fantasy drem, and like playing the "BadGuy", not that im saying that horde is evil or the bad guy in lore, but most people like playing that role, but that's just my guess
