Haven't played in quite a while now. And a mate of mine is going to RAF me..

as I want to play a plate DPS, I was wondering.. which of the classes DK, Paladin and warrior can solo stuff best?

Im thinking old raids, old content in general.

And on another note, which of these classes are the hardest to learn when it comes to optimising your DPS? Before I quit I played feral druid, found it rather easy to maintain high dps and still not being dull.

A blood DK can solo pretty much anything...

Yep, what Casadi said is completely true. A Blood DK can solo pretty much every single out-dated raid. Heck, I've seen a youtube video of a DK tanking 2 heroic bosses at the same time in Stonecore, back when Heroics were semi-challenging. If you want a good blood DK, look up Arllas from Drenden, pretty solid tank right there.

Also gotta say frost DK is one of the easiest DPS to learn, and it pulls pretty nice DPS. Avg Ilvl 350 I was pulling around 17k Single Target DPS in raids.

If you want to solo old content, a Blood DK is the way to go. Since they're based on runes, they won't ever run out of 'energy'.
