A question about weapon damage, rogue mechanics

Hey guys, Im playing a 70 twink and can't decide between two means into my mainhand. I think the best option for sublety to mainhand is Shiv of Exsanguination - Item - World of Warcraft because it has most damage -> higher damage with backstab, ambush etc. ?
And to off-hand probaly Blade of the Unrequited - Item - World of Warcraft because I can add to it 3x20 agi gem which is 120 ap.
At 70 bracket, does damage/speed/dps of off-hand weapon for rogue really matters? Isn't just stats what matters? Rogue's skills aren't using off-hand weapon except mutilate,shiv and white damage not?
How much AP is 1 weapon damage?
I know, Im big noob with game mechanics and rogue class, but just wanna know what is best. :/

Different weapons to different talent builds.
I used to have a mainhand dagger as mainhand (lol?) & a fast one-handed as offhand with crippin poison or mind numb. (2.4.3)

Slow&Dmg / Fast&LowDmg+CoH poisons.

I'd go Shiv of Exsanguination. It's got 20 more dps on it, so it hits harder by default and has alot more stam and crit than your other one. I'm pretty sure you can only put Delicate Crimson Spinel - Item - World of Warcraft gems in it since it is a BC weapon and those are BC gems. Unless you're a JC. Just like how you can only enchant it with mongoose.

Slow MH and Fast OH is a general rule for any spec for rogues right now!
You always want your slow weap on the main hand and the slow on the off hand!

Nope, you can use Wotlk gems everywhere, they don't have ilvl requirement like cata ones.
