Banned buying gold

Hey, recently got a 2nd account to receive some gold i bought. Got the gold, waited 10 hours. Then transfered it to my main. 10 hours later, my alt account were banned. But not my main account. So here's my question. Do they usually ban both at once or wait to gain more information about the other account before they ban it?

Is my main account screwed or is there hope? I'd love some answers from people with same experience. Thanks

if your main has not been banned yet then there is always hope, especially in this case:_)
From my experience there is no pattern for Blizzard banning accounts for botting/gold trade.

Sure if the sum is large then you will more likely get banned than if trading 1k of gold but that's it.
Maybe some GM noticed that large sum is flowing to one char, he banned it and didn't bother to look further where it went etc, you never know

You get banned for selling normally and not buying.

hotchick is right, Blizz do find a large gold flowing with low level char. Your just lucky that Blizz didn't trace your main account involve in the passing of large amount of gold.

As i talk one the supplier this normally happens to their competitors because their gold come from duping and they not legally farmed it and its initially red flag for blizz and trace whose account will they pass this and banned it.

I'm not buying this story. Blizzard does not ban people who buy gold, and if they do - it is typically a slap on the wrist kind of thing rather than a permanent ban. As far as your main account goes, it should remain unaffected as it was not involved in the trade. At the least, they will remove the gold from your account.

probably you alt account violate some rules first,and later you have gold transfer then you got banned

But wait, your main account hasn't bought any gold, therefore hasn't done anything illegal. It is the alt that has bought gold, therefore can be banned, but the main account has simply received a sum of money from somewhere, there is no proof that the main account has bought anything.

Has anyone got an experience like this where the main account was banned as well?
