Starting a fresh with a view to a sale

Guys

First of all thank you to this site where I was able to advertise my account and get a sale fairly quickly.

However I am tempted to start a fresh on an EU server with duel motivation: to make money from selling an account with the side benefit of seeing the new content for my own enjoyment.

In a nutshell: get to new max level, do things as I go which adds value to the account or makes it easier to sell, then sell the account all the time enjoying wow.

What I would like to know is how much it is likely to cost me to buy the necessary keys and any other costs I will face apart from sub?

The slightly less predictable question is how much would a new max level character likely be worth 1-2 months after the xpac has hit? My recent sale of two level 80s for $170 suggests to me that prices are fairly low at present. Will they increase in future? I get the impression that in the past, say a couple of years ago, the cost of buying an account was far greater...if that is true i am not sure why?

I'm not sure if the sale is still going on, but you could get everything up to and including WoTLK for 20$ all together, plus Cataclysm that's 60$ total.
