Cataclysm gear question

Hey

I'm not planning to buy catalclysm immadietly it goes live and wondering wether I can equip
catalcysm greens that is for level 80 and made by blacksmiths.

for example this gear:

Boots

Or in order to equoipe these boots I must buy the expansion?

I would assume you could since the only limiting factor seems to be that it requires level 80.

Yeah, in theory, all it takes is someone with Cataclysm to post these on the AH or trade them to you to get them.
