A non-QQ rant (or "what were you thinking?!?")

its really @#$%ing sad that blizzard can hot fix things like people exploring the edge of Vashjir or twilight highlands within minutes, or the flying in Azeroth, but they cant fix there coding errors like 2 @#$%ing months later.

anyone notice how about 75% of the bugs introduced in patch 4.0.1 a month and a half ago (all well documented on PTR) are STILL going?

-addon sound bug
-if someone AFK's in ur BG group they break your que
-Airport in IoC
-Siege engines in SoTA
-disconnects = Instant deserter in PvP (you are supposed to have a minute to log back in)
Etc. Etc. ETc.

all well documented in PTR
all went through to live.

as another example, the Celestial Steed (n00bpony, Twilight mount, etc) was released and made blizzard 20k+ in a day. after purchase players began to notice glaring errors with the mount. (didn't angle properly on slopes, model errors, irritating as HELL sound effects..)

they still exist. oh they made it angle right to terrain, but its front foot still breaks whine running and now it screeches every time you jump. many people got this mount to use while leveling... and now people don't even want to use it with that because of the terrible sound effects!

I think i know why all of this is going on.

Activi$ion.

Activision doesn't have Infinity ward to lean on for income anymore, so they have started to lean on Blizzard. Yeah, blizzard is bigger and makes more money overall, but its a slow steady income from monthly fees and stuff. Infinity ward and the Call of Duty series were instant huge chunks of coin.

its the only Explanation i can think of for why patch 4.0.1 (the Alpha quality patch) went through. it needed at least 3 more weeks of testing and fixing. instead "here you go guys! enjoy being completely @#$%ing broken!"

one more thing: for those of you who think this is a "QQ QQ MY FOTM IS BROKADED" i play and played a feral tank from Ulduar to ICC. this rant about things sucking cause they are broken is coming from one of the classes that was made into OP gods. my bear could survive blasts from heroic Cindy10 during the air phase. i tested it. took 3. without heals. and don't get me started on Bear PvP, people undervalue it beside kitty PvP but i still melt face as a bear.

im not complaining about class nerfs / buffs. im talking about game design mechanics that got completely @#$%ed a month and a bit ago and blizzard STILL hasnt fixed! it really feels like blizzard is going down hill.

Anyways, /rant for now, if anyone wants to DISCUSS this issue (as in not flame the topic without even reading first page) i'll respond to intellegent commentary

Exploring zones early and what not is an unfair advantage to other players hence the fast fix, while the only thing the Steed was unfair to was peoples earlobes.
