Official "somethings wrong with my patch" thread

Okay a lot of people are going to have issues, This is a very exciting day for us, some of us are missing work and school etc so they can get the first glimpse of there new talent tree, or new spells alot of us are also very on the edge of the seat ready to point fingers thinking "OMG THIS WON'T WORK" Fear now I have a plan

I suggest we post all our fixes to problems we might find patching I found one this morning and not to worry I have a fix for it also even if you dont know how to fix it, we can all count on the IT expertise of our fellow WoW players, apparently its very common on vista

Submit your fixes in this template and I will get round to adding them to the original post

PROBLEM 1:
What there error is saying: Waiting for files to close on the Blizzard Updater

What you've tried: Running the launcher in admin
Fix:Run the launcher as admin and when it gets to the updater after the patch screen and it gives you the error message, hold ctrl + ALT + delete and go to the processes tab of your task manager close Launcher.exe or WoW.exe (in my case it was WoW.exe)

Yeah, my computer overheated TWICE, both times around 98 or 99% completion.
Its not really a problem with the patch as much as it is a problem with my computer, my solution is to hopefully buy a new computer soon xD

But on my end there has been no problems downloading the patch as far as what I have seen. I ran my Launcher as Administrator, so if downloading does not work for you I suggest you run it as an Admin before saying you have tried everything to make the installer work.

As for my installing experience, I could see a common complaint could be that this takes way too long, I agree to this, as I have spent over 8 hours without avail on installing this patch. Once again I blame my computer for this.
