First and foremost, sorry for any grammatical errors in this. It’s a little rushed.

So, another day in the WoW botting community has come by, and just like every other day, someone has released some two-bit bot. Except, this isn’t just someone, for it is the same people Cypher and I destroyed a few months back.
The mimic team are back in all their fury, with another terribly written, hilariously advertised bot, that as per usual, is advertised with a number of false claims.
“I can assure you, its NOT injection” was one of the claims spouted, yet as you can expect, a stupidly named DLL was found; containing all of the bots interoperability between WoW and itself. In addition to this, three API hooks are present: LoadLibraryA, GetCursorPos and GetPhysicalCursorPos.
The first, LoadLibraryA, was to protect it from.. GameGuard. Yes, they are hiding their module from an anti-cheat from another game. Why would they do this you might ask? Who ****ing knows what goes through the minds of the mimic-devs.
The second and third are used to send mouse movements to the game while it doesn’t have focus.
In summary, do not use this bot, and if you have.. see me in a week or so .

So, if you’re reading this and wondering why your account has been banned.. i’m truly sorry. We’ve gotta let the WardenDev show his glory somehow, right!?
So 5 1/2 hours ago (from the date noted above), a new memory scan was pushed into Warden, which targeted AIOBot. If you were caught up in this, then shame on you for buying into such a shitty and detectable piece of software.
Seeing as the auth servers are now (presumably. hard to tell with the ddos) closed, now seems like an opportune moment to unmask this.
I find it disturbing that they are actually protecting you from being detected by GameGuard and not from Warden - when it is a WoW bot

I have no idea if it actually works at the moment though, however some say it does.

It should be noted that the seller of the bot does not develop it but is just a reseller, therefore has no idea about technical details, how the bot protects itself etc.
This is a problem because when it was originally being sold they were told it was completely passive etc. by the people coding the bot, so the guy selling it told his whole userbase it was really good, completely safe to use etc. that warden couldn't detect it.

Then kynox and Cypher proved just how wrong they were and they realised they'd been lied to and Warden was scanning for the bot 5 hours after the bot had just been officially released as an english bot.
Since then the seller has said that there was a complete overhaul on the protection side and that it is now safe (this only happened just recently), but as I said the reseller is just that, a reseller and has no idea about the code and whether or not it is safe. There is a good chance that he could have just been lied to again, so yeah you really have no idea whether it's safe to use or not unless:
    A) It gets detected by warden and all your accounts are banned
    B) Kynox/Cypher/Harko take a look at it.

Oddball's summary is pretty accurate. A few things to add:

    1. We hired a renowned Warden expert to help us rewrite the security, and didn't relaunch until he gave us the green light. Unfortunately, he did it on condition of anonymity.
    2. We've been operating banwave-free since relaunch around March or February 2010.

We made a post describing the history in great detail on our blog: Probotters and AIO Bot – a Tale of Disgrace and Redemption | The Official Blog of Probotters and AIO Bot

On an unrelated note, this page crashed my Google Chrome browser twice. I'm running Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid. I switched to Firefox and it loaded fine.
