Hey guys, I am trying to form a raiding guild on my paladin. I have the experience I just need the level 80s so we can clear ICC and then get ready for Cata. Please tell me what you do to get members!(srs answers only please)

I try to advertise on as many sites as possible. Also in-game, I try to use the macro as often as possible, without it being spam.

Advertise your guild on wow eu forums.

Make ingame macro for advertising, wherein you specify what you need, what your aims are, and what the requirements are.

Make some site for your guild, have a guild bank with full tabs so it looks professional, and it helps but let your friends join and make them officer or the likes of it, so that the guild at least look kind of stable.

Also have a vent server and well, just be always online on the specified raid times you make. Making a guild from scratch isn't easy since you kinda need a core group to begin with. Ofcourse, as a guild you also need to make progress so don't invite some shit-geared person as people in the guild will most of the time dislike that, unless it's someones alt or something.

Well, to get persons to join your guild you just need to make standard requirements like the one I said above, and just be mature.

In my experience, posting a message on trade chat every couple minutes for an hour or so works wonders. The format you choose also plays a large role in getting peoples attention, i usually make my messages something along the lines of this:

<Guild Name> Is looking for serious raiders for ICC10 and ICC25, we raid from --:-- to --:-- on ____ and ___ days. Pst for more info.
