A. The convo I posted has nothing to do with GMs appearing in-game. The GM was invisible while targeting someone and giving him items; presumably due to a restoration.
B. GMs, since the beginning, almost never appear in-game. Sometimes they like to bend the rules a little and appear for short periods of time, or sometimes on holidays the senior GMs can play around a little, but GM appearances haven't really changed much since the beginning, except for holidays.
