If you dont have the funds to donate (but rly, who doesnt), you could always just get 80 rep to contrib =)
Easier said than done, matey. I posted whatever I could way back; answers for the WoWWiki Quiz, updated views on underground areas. But I'm sitting back pondering what am I able to contribute that is not a repost. ;p
You know .. you have a fair point. A guide, a guide. Well, I suck at getting gold. Leveling guide takes way too long. Eh .. guide to ICC? You know, I'll go for that. A tanking guide for Icecrown Citadel 10 and 25 man version, for I have them all on farm.
Not entirely true. People give rep to pretty posts if the posts meet the following conditions:
• They are one of the first 5 topics in the forum
• Somebody in the thread says "Nice exploit!" (even if it isn't)
• They take less than 10 seconds to reproduce. Any longer and people give up and and don't rep
I have a great idea! A guide to rep farming:
Step 1: Search the last 40 pages of these forums for a simple yet exciting exploit that still works.
Step 2: Repost the exploit.
Step 3: ???
Step 4: Profit
A few tips and tricks:
• [Tag] your thread, even if it is something useless such as [exploit] or [new]
• Claim in your thread that you did a search for this exploit and found nothing, even though this is an obvious lie.
• Keep your glitch to under 20 seconds. You audience has a very short attention span
• The average age of of forum viewers here is about 12. Tailor your thread to such an audience.
• Keep your post within the first 5 posts on the forum or you will get NO REP for it
• When bumping your thread, either use an alt account or bump it discretely by adding "updates" in new posts
• Avoid asking for rep directly. Be sneaky about it.
• Tell people that you're new and then apologize for something.
• Use misleading titles that make the exploit sound better than it is. Page views are your friend.
• If you include pictures, make them look pretty in MS paint by using the line tool. NEVER DRAW FREEHAND.
• If you absolutely can't find any exploits to post, you can post intended game mechanics that not many people know about. As long as 1 person doesn't know about it, you should get rep.
• Use bullets or a list. They make you look smarter.
Hopefully some people found this useful on their way to contributor status!
Hrmmn, an exploit. Well, I don't really have many in mind, that's why I just made a guide; and the idea of the guide is that it isn't a TL;DR, which people normally give. But yeah, I will keep those in mind!
