Botting: 90 days

So here's the story:

I've really been wanting one of those Recruit a Friend rockets for a while now, and I finally have the spare cash to afford one. I'm not really planning on dualboxing or finding anybody to use the account, so rather than let the account rot for 90 days, I'd like to bot on the account and make some extra cash for my main.

So here is my question:
Is it possible to bot a toon to level 80 and spend some serious time farming with him all in 90 days? And if so, are there any "ultimate" botting programs that you would suggest I use?


Although this isn't the point of the thread, how much does a brand new account go for in terms of WoW gold if it has 90 days of game time included on it? What could I get for selling this account as opposed to farming with it.

It IS possible to level a toon to 80 via botting - just don't bot extensively or be suspiscious, just take it easy. Just use some bot that grind for awhile and then if you can enter random BGs do that (dunnow if random BGs exp are nerfed or not, but AV and especially AV weekend give tons and tons of exp)
It IS possible to do extensive farming on the toon via botting- though it depends on what bot you are using/which profile your using/what class you have/what gear you have/what you want to farm etc etc etc. Most of the times, the profile and the economy on your server is what matters. E.G if you farm with skinning but all those borean leathers are selling for a nickle, then it's not suitable for you.
There is NO ultimate botting program out there. As far as I know, Private bots/Honor buddy/Gather buddy/Pirox bots are the popular ones. Just check around the feedback about those bots and check which bot suits you. But if I must make a suggestion, if you really only want to farm things then I would suggest Gather Buddy, just check the feedback about it and see if it suits you.

And for selling the account - I don't know how much gold you get for selling the account, but if you sell it for real money you will get around 70-80$ for new dinged 80's. It really depends to whom you are selling it. If you want to earn more, then your best best is to sell it to a person rather then a company or the sorts of.

Wow, so much useful information! Thanks! Last I heard AV queues were around 2 hours a piece, but I know other BGs are still absurd XP at low levels.

If anybody has a good deal of experience farming, is there any particular class that is easier to farm with than others? Paladin for crusader aura? Druid for Flight Form? DK for survivability? Or is it completely dependent on what I'm farming?

I know during BC one of your best bets was a Hunter with a tank pet as you could MD to the pet and let it tank whatever you're farming. May still be the same with a bot. Outside of that I think I'd go with a DK. Nothing like pulling 10 mobs and death striking your way to victory.

Obviously I'm a complete noob when it comes to bots. All the posts in the bots section talk about waypoint systems for navigation, in process/out of process, active/passive. While I have a general idea of what these things mean, I don't know everything I feel like I need to. Is there somewhere I can read up on this stuff so I don't feel like a moron?

And yeah, this should probably have gone in the questions section of the bots forum.


Edit: After reading http://www.mmowned.com/forums/world-...cess-bots.html I feel like an expert on in-process/out-of-process bots. Still not clear on exactly what a waypoint system is, what it does, or where/how to get/make one (I'm aware it instructs your character to move from Point-A to Point-B, but that is the extent of my knowledge).

Two questions: Can a bot be detected by Warden if it is not editing any memory/injecting dll's? Assuming not. And does a bot become detectable the second it edits one unit of memory? Or does Warden have to be updated to detect it once the Dev becomes aware of it?

i say go for it - if u spend 3-4 hours a day changing profiles etc, you can level to 80 in a month easy, then farm for 2 months. you should get around 21k a week minimum. sell gold, sell acc. free rocket.
if you want a great farming class a dk or a pally for pale horse and crusader aura.
dks are easy - just level a hunter/lock to 55 then grab dk and carry on
