Cataclysm new Battleground : the Diamond Mines

Hello !

I found the map of a new battleground in the Cataclysm files. I didn't see this on the web, so I take screenshots to show it.

The battleground is located in Stranglethorn Valley, and name Diamond Mines.

The objectives seems to be 4 wheels, located at the corners of the map. The Alliance and the Horde camp are facing each others.

If this actually is real which i guess it isnt, it's going to be the worst BG ever, its too small, i dont think blizzard would ever make a BG like this tbh, in every BG its about having lots of several ways to reach the objectives, and this looks really crappy in my mind, and it will completely ruin stealthers to go around here, since the caverns look so small that they'll have a hard time to use stealth effeciently.

Rofl @ crying about an obviously unfinished BG in an early alpha version.
It's obviously just a test and if this EVER gets in is the question. Azsharas crater never got in, gurubashi catacombs never got in (which might be changed with this one)... Just don't QQ about a very early version of a possible BG. It has been posted already though.

Seen this ingame in the alpha sandbox.
Everyone who read the Swedish WoW magazine should know that one of the reporters gave an idea similar to this one to Blizz when he interviewed Jeff Kaplan
Though he talked about gnomes vs taurens where the gnomes were digging tunnels from stonetalon to mulgore, hunting for some mineral or crystal and know the taurens have t ochase em away, the whole bg should be underground and the goal is to get the resources that spawn randomly to your base with a mining look-a-like process :P

The Diamond Mines PvP area was supposed to be in WoW at the start but it got scrapped.
You can even tell how old it is from the textures etc used..

The "Goblin Battleground" someone mentioned is actually "Azshara Crater" . This BG was going to be added forever ago, but it got postponed; they are adding it in Cataclysm. You can explore this BG in the Alpha, as it's pretty much 100% complete.

The graphics could just be placeholder stuff just to get the thing playable and see if the gameplay (whatever it is) works.
I don't remember ever hearing of a STV bg before the cata alpha and it uses 727 as its map id, which is right in the middle of the map ids they used for cataclysm.
Why would have they used map id 727 back in vanilla?

You mean they've made change to the azshara BG in cata? Because visually speaking it has been looking finished for a long time.

Actually nothing has changed in the azshara crater. It was 'almost done' since always and its theme doesn't fit with the goblins who took over azshara. I doubt it'll ever be implemented.

By the way, the mine isn't that small. It's kinda the size of warsong.
