Transfer Character to Another Account?

Hi! Is there any way for me to transfer a character from one battle.net account to another.

The account the character is on now has owner name X1, but I want to transfer it to a new account with my name (X1 has not my name). And then I want to change that accounts name so it ends up on my account with my name.

Is that possible?

what i know of you can only transfer character between accounts wich are on the same b.net account ;(

Yes you can, however you need to pay for it. Just go to 'Paid Character Transfer' and then it should talk you through it. (Also you can select the same realm.)

It says it has to be the same name.

I found somewhere that I am supposed to be able to unmerge the X1 account (I have all the info to it), and then merge it with a new b.net account, wait 30 days, and then transfer it to my account on the b.net account. Can somebody confirm that?

If I'm not mistaken, it is impossible to unmerge an account from its Battle.net account. However, characters can be moved to another Battle.net account (with another WoW account attached to it), provided both accounts share the same last name and you need to know the secret answer of the target account.
