Buying gold and then transferring... Safe? :o

So yeah, I know that buying gold is never safe, but I just got a quick question for the lovely people here on MMOwned...

Last night I checked up the prices on gold and such, and seeing as I currently got an alliance shaman on a server that I no longer feel like playing on, I decided to transfer to another server and faction-change. And here is the catch; I could get almost 50% cheaper gold if I buy the transfer to my destination server, purchase 25k and then race-change to Horde.

Now, currently my shaman is on the desired server, but its still Alliance, I have purchased my gold and currently waiting for the delivery. In the meanwhile I thought I could check with you guys over here what your opinion is here, would it be "safe" to Faction-change right after I got the gold, or should I wait a few days and just play like a normal person in the meanwhile and THEN faction change?

I've done it both ways a few times, and in my experience it hasn't made any difference. However, if you're paranoid I would probably go with whatever you think the average person would do if they randomly received 25k gold.

indeed. protip; if you gold isn't intercepted you are usually in the clear. I don't think you see exactly how many people on every server buy gold ... this isn't some small operation that one of out a million do it >.>

if you are paranoid go for it, but by and large you should be fine so long the place you get it from is legit.

Thanks for the replies guys, bought my gold from Itemgarden.com, heard from some friends and such that they are usually quick at delivery and such... Been waiting for 24 hours now, alltho they promised it wouldnt take more than 4-5 hours to get my gold...
