Race-Race swap gone wrong :(

so, i did a model edit. race to race swap, and i think i ****ed up the MPQ b/c it shows ever single file in my data to run on DBC editor. so i was like w/e got on wow and every 45 i would get a WoW Error. so i reinstall the game which took 5 hours, and when i did. the data folder was missing along with many other folders. the only folders left are log and interface folder. can anyone help me figure out the problem? i need my race-race change please!!

When modifying the game data there's no need to change the existing MPQ files in fact I would recommend not doing it in case something goes wrong such as what happened to you.

You can create new MPQ files and name them "patch-4.MPQ" all the way to "patch-Z.MPQ" and the game will load them in order. Inside the new MPQ just add the new modified files you wish to change including the proper internal path structure to the file. The game will load it's normal data then when it gets to your new "patch" files it will load the changes you added.

Then if you ever want to revert back just move or rename your new MPQ so the game won't load them.

Did you reinstall or only repair? A full reinstall is supposed to add all files again. I f*'d up a model edit once, and after the repairing failed, I reinstalled, and then it worked.
