My friend got his account, and it had an auth key on it, I was wondering if theres a way to take it off, or get around it.
Don't flame, I'm just wondering one of you hackers know how to get around it![]()

I'm not sure if you mean your "friend" scammed an account or if he got hacked, but you can get rid of an authenticator by sending in your ID, SQA etc to Blizzard
It was his account, he just wanted to know if he could get around it like without having to go threw all that trouble.
Create a program that will hack into blizzards server and find out the key that it is expecting, then enter it into the field? =P
No, you can't "Get around it". This is because the authenticator has a chip inside with a clock and a seed number. Blizzard has your authenticator's seed number on file, and they hash the number on file with a time value, and let you in, depending on whether the hashes match. So nothing short of cracking open your auth key, flashing the chip to your computer, and decompiling the bytecode could even allow you to see what your seed number is, much less hash and input it or whatever. As far as I can tell.
----------EDIT-----------
Come to think of it, you could also capture enough of the numbers, and use a logic system to try to crack the seed number...

Well, isn't it only like an 8 digit key? Maybe I could like try like 8 random letters or if theres a program that does it or something?
Try thinking about what you just said. If you could just randomly guess at numbers, why not try that with WoW timecodes? Or smaller, Eve timecodes? They're only 8 digits (i think)
Fact is, that's infinitesimally improbable. that's 10 * 10 * 10 * 10 * 10 * 10 * 10 * 10 possible combination. 10^8 = 100,000,000, which is One Hundred MILLION Possibilities. Best of luck with your guessing, for the next 47.5 years, at one attempt per 15 seconds
