Gaining BG Honor and Rep?

Sorry for asking such a noob question but i cant find a good answer anywhere....

I quit wow a few months ago and recently came back a few weeks ago. I just started playing my rogue last nite and noticed im not gaining rep and honor like i used to. Was it changed in a patch at one point that the whole raid no longer gets dished out honor and rep normally like it used to, or did they make it so you have to do damage to a person or npc to get the honor/rep?

I was playing my priest the past couple weeks and never noticed since i spam heals everywhere, but really noticed when playing my rogue.

As of right now you get honor and reputation for varying things depending on the BG. However, in all of them you get honor for kills even if you don't take part in the fight, as long as you are in range of the battle.

In Warsong Gulch you gain bonus honor and reputation per flag cap.
In Arathi Basin you gain bonus honor and reputation per every 250 tick.
In Alterac Valley you gain bonus honor and reputation on a few different things.

And of course, you gain bonus honor and reputation from all games by handing in your marks you recieve for either winning or losing the battle.

In AV you gain 1 rep pr kill of the opposing faction you were part of
You gain rep for every leader of the opposing faction you kill
You gain rep for every tower/gy your faction capture

To be part of a kill onthe opposing faction you need to be on the "threat list" of that player, which is done with either you, or anyone of your group does damage to them.
