    Proper TBC Raiding Guild LFM

Ok so sadly I am calling off the guild idea. Those who said they were there to help and were going to join and be the core part of the guild, literally vanished, ignored me or somehow missed the 2-3 messages that I sent everyone over the past 3 weeks.

I'm really disappointed with those who just dissapeared after saying they would help and you guys have lost a lot of respect from me. I can understand if you change your mind at a later stage, but the fact that you ignored me or didn't reply back to any of the messages really doesn't say very much about you.

    Who all is involved?
    Guild Leader: Unholy[S]haman
Co-Guild Leader: Bloodpact (He was my co-guild leader for my L70 guild back on US servers, and he is rerolling on EU to specifically help us with this, and is also a successful ICC25 man raid leader).
    Officers:
    - 2dgreengiant (Will be in charge of guild forum management and applications, as well as help out in-game).
    - Joppe (Will be in charge of in-game and external forum recruitment, as well as help out in-game).
    - Officer slot available still - will be filled later as the guild grows
    - Officer slot available still - will be filled later as the guild grows

    MMOwned Members confirmed:
    - Enagic
    - rdr1994
    - sykzz (Transfering T6 geared Rogue)
    - Skyzz's friend (Transferring T6 / Sunwell geared Warlock)
    - Vinland
    - Gloob (He is also from <TBC Raiding Guild> that I mention below).

    Unconfirmed MMOwned Members:
    - undoedun
    - darkcutuan
    - asdfasd1
    - griim
    - mgscs
    - Freefall552

Out of that list, rdr1994 transfered to Silvermoon and Joppe replied that he is leveling up his druid on another server. They rest just...nothing.

Ok so the other day I made a thread to get interest in creating a Level 70 TBC Raiding Guild from the MMOwned community, the main aim was to ensure that there was enough interest. I got quite a good response back from the community and feel that it will be very easy for us to get going. We are hoping to start the guild on the 9th of April and get our firsts raids done that weekend or following week at the latest.
Raid times and days are yet to be decided, however we will be as flexible as possible to accommodate as many as possible. Even if it means having two different raid teams raiding at different times but hopefully not.

    Index:
    - The guild in short
    - Who all is involved?
    - What is the guild specifically about?
    - Background history
    - So you want to join?

    The guild in short:
    - Guild Name: <Acquired Taste>
    - Realm/Server: Silvermoon EU
    - Faction: Alliance
    - Realm/Server Type: PvE
    - Realm/Server Size: High population with Alliance in favour
    - Guild Aim: To progress through level 70 The Burning Crusade content, beginning at Karazhan and Tier 4 instances, and working our way up into Black Temple and Sunwell.
    - Allowed: Pre-BC/TBC/WOTLK Gems, enchants, glyphs, spells, talents, professions, profession items, consumables
    - Disallowed: Players above level 70, WOTLK GEAR.

    Out of MMOwned interest:
I have spoken to players in the following guilds on our server:
    - <Nimrodel> level 60 twink guild
    - <TBC Raiding Team> small level 70 twink/raiding guild
Plenty of players in both guilds have expressed interest in joining us so we know we will be able to get quite a few more players from them too.

Other possible out of MMOwned interest:
    - Other players on our realm Silvermoon

I had a quick look at the Cyclone Battlegroup forums and checked out some of the threads on the first page, these are the L60 / L70 guild that I identified from threads on the first page alone.
    - The L70 guild <Courage> Courage - Home - WowStead
    - The L70 guild <AZO PHAILZ>
    - The L60 guild <Combined> Combined - Pre-Bc - Spinebreaker - EU - - WowStead
    - The L70 guild <Eternal Sanctuary>
    - The L60 guild <Medieval>
    - The L60 guild <little peepol>
    - The L60 guild <IS GOD>
    - The L70 guild <The Nightsabers>
    - The L70 guild <Hated By Everyone>
    - The L70 guild <Fiskarens Bundsförvant>
As you can see we have a very large existing target market with a lot of interest in this sort of guild, and I'm sure if I looked longer I would have found many more.

We will also of course do cross Battlegroup recruiting, other forum recruiting such as on MMO-Champ, ElitistJerks, ArenaJunkies and some other influential wow forums.

What is this guild specifically about?
This TBC Raiding guild is going to focus on a different way of playing the game - playing nostalgic content. You can call it a wow-lifestyle if you will. Some players bot, some hack, some exploit, some explore, some hoard gold, some level alts, some pvp, some raid, some are full-time idiots. Everyone has a different way of playing World of Warcrft in a way that it stays interesting, it keeps you busy and you don't get bored. We are choosing to raid TBC content

We are pretty much starting from scratch, with the majority of us leveling up new characters on Silvermoon or transferring existing ones to Silvermoon.
As I said earlier, we are starting with Heroics, Karazhan and Tier 4 content, then going to push ourselves into upper Tier 6 content such as Black Temple and Sunwell Plateau ASAP through dedication and experience. We have chosen to allow member to make use of WOTLK gems, enchants, glyphs, spells, talents, professions, profession items, consumables because we realize that many of the players also would like be to be able to take part in the level 70 Rated Arena on a competitive level. (Yes you do get a team/pr rating, you do get team rankings, you do get arena points and you can buy Season 4 Brutal Gladiator Gear with your arena points) - and yes there is also plenty of competition out there to fight against.

If you are one of those players who are beginning to feel burnt out from raiding ICC, pushing for Lich King kills and the whole WOTLK content is feeling a bit boring for you now, or perhaps you are tired of all the GearScore and epeen bullshyte going around then maybe what you need is a nice change of scenery. A new way to play the game to revive your interest in it before Cataclysm hits.

There is MUCH to do at level 70 still, many different and surprisingly fun reputation factions to grind, interesting and challenging heroics that many haven't seen before, completely different and versatile zones, quests, raids and level 70 PVP.

    Background History:
At the beginning of 2009 I founded a small level 60 "twink" guild. In February we were getting so many players interested in the guild, that we decided to stop twinking all together and turn it into a full progressive raiding guild.

We cleared EVERYTHING up until Twin Emperors in AQ40 WITH ONLY level 60s in our guild. No higher levels, no pugging, no TBC/WOTLK gems/gear. (UBRS 3 manned, ZG 5 manned first half, 7 manned the rest, Onyxia 6 manned, AQ20 5 manned first half - 10 manned the rest, MC 10 manned up to Baron - 15/20 manned the rest, BWL 19 manned, AQ40 22 manned un until Twin Emperors).
When they changed Onyxia to L80 and destroyed AV for level 60s, we became a level 70 "twink" guild.

As a level 70 guild, our main focus was level 70 rated arena and premade battlegrounds so we allowed our members to PuG for gear. While this was great, great fun it was a big mistake. Once you start twinking that hardcore, the whole server knows who you are. Trying to convert into a level 70 raiding only guild would have been near impossible because we simply would not have been properly respected. That was my lesson learned. If you are going to do it properly then do it properly from the start. We still did level 70 only raids on the side (Kara, ZA and Gruul) but shortly after that I had to quit playing US wow because of the difference in Timezone's and the new year of 2010. I am not on the EU servers for good and going to make something of it.

I have extensive guild leadership form leading guilds in the proper Pre-BC era, during proper TBC expansion and a little during WOTLK expansion. I have proper level 70 raiding experience from during TBC of up until Mu'ru in Sunwell Plateau and during WOTLK I have lead and fully cleared countless BT and SWP raids.

    So you want to join?
    Well who wouldn't
We currently have a website up Home : Acquired Taste - EU - English - Silvermoon - World of Warcraft - Guild Launch Guild Hosting and if you are serious about wanting to join us and help us progress through content, you can visit the site and fill out the quick application form.

    Good question mag1212,

We going to aim for a raiding schedule that can fit as many different people as possible. So we need to wait and see as we get more people what will happen but we want to raid 3-4 times a week (including alt runs etc).

Planning to have the main progression raid on Friday and possibly Saturday, because most people can make those two days as well as are able to stay up a bit later than normal if the need arises (for example we really trying to get a boss down and are really close but just need an extra try or two).

The only two days in the week that I cannot attend are Tuesdays and Thursdays due to evening classes, but if enough people want to raid on those days and we have other raid leaders willing to help out then we will organize that too.

We will most probably start off with a raid time of 8pm until 10pm, most T4 raids won't require longer than that. When we head into T5 and T6 raids we may extend the raid 1 hour earlier or 1 hour later etc.

Wish I could give you a more straight forward answer, but we will do our absolute best to accommodate as many people as possible.

So if the guild is starting to come together/doing things around the 9th does this mean i'd have up until then to level up?

As i'd be starting from scratch with a lock, nothing else on the realm and it'd be quite a push to make it.

i have other 80s on the cyclone bg and have noticed quite a few stable 70s running av whilst leveling my alts.(encountered that azo guy while leveling my mage and tbh his attitude towards other players is pretty bad)

This whole project interests me a lot, i've played since classic but missed a fair chunk of tbc due to irl issues, i've visited most tbc raids afterwards as 80 but tbh thats just faceroll through for achieve's and leave and would like to experience them how they should be or close enough to.

Thanks for the interest, it would be awesome to have you

You can join us at any stage, obviously sooner the better but there is no cut-off date or anything like that.

I have sen Azo on the forums quite a bit and yeah he seems pretty cocky. I look forward to kicking his ass once the guild is well geared

Yes you need to have an EU specific account. However if you live in the US or are in a US timezone country then it will probably be quite hard for you to keep up with all the guild raids seeing as they will all be early in the day for you.

Nah I live in Australia. Don't have the money to make another account anyway.

    Good luck with this. :P

Do I have to install another client? I play on US so I will probably just buy a lvl 70 and gear it out. Ive had lots of raid leadership experience. (10/25 Ulduar, ToC, ICC) among other old world content including 40man molten core runs.

Cool, are you "Aéval"? Several others in TBC Raiding Team have expressed interest in joining us so we would be happy to accommodate you too, however we don't want to actually "poach" members from TBC Raiding Team. If players from that guild hear about the guild and want to join then they are welcome too, we won't actually approach anyone in it though.
Edit: ahh I saw the app, you are "Aéval" hehe.

You can play with the US Client by changing the Realmlist, however US updates on a tuesday whereas EU updates on a wednesday so meaning you normally won't be able to play EU on Tuesday until the patch comes out or something. Sometimes the files get corrupt as well.
Easiest thing is just to download another EU gameclient. Though what about your timezone? Silvermoon is in a +- +2 GMT timezone.
