[Question] Starting programming

Hey there
I would like to start abit with programming, especially Lua since thats what WoW addons are built with (as far as I understand). I've done abit of C# with the Web Developer (school related), but thats about it.

Now the question to you is:
Do you have any good guides or similar things to help me get going?
Any suggestions are welcome, but free stuff is most wanted ;P

Programming in Lua : contents

The book is a detailed and authoritative introduction to all aspects of Lua programming, by Lua's chief architect.

This is a great introduction to learning LUA. Other than other more detailed guides you could possibly find online, I suggest checking out local//online book stores for more informational sources.
