    Lowest possible settings

Does anyone have any tips on making wow take up as little resources on my pc as possible? It's possible for my pc to bot wow and play another game at the same time, and I'm just wondering if there's a way to reduce resource consumption past setting everything to lowest and playing in a 720x526 window. Thanks.

Well, to be honest I'm not the smartest cat around when it comes to this stuff.. but i can say one thing... And it sounds like you need one hell of a computer to pull this off.. Ive played WOW on the lowest setting's possible and worked on a paper with MS Office at the same time.. but i can't imagine playing another game while running wow + a bot. i guess it all depends on the other game.. like if your going to play Runescape or something i doubt you'l have a problem but for a bigger game you may run into some trouble.. I guess the best way to get at this is to.. Try it.

    Good luck!

It's not the greatest computer... It's a laptop w/ an Intel core 2 duo @ 2GHz. 3 GB of RAM, and a GeForce 8600 M GS. I was able to pull off playing TF 2 fairly well.

Not much more you can do besides lowering your video settings all the way.

for your bot account(s) create two macros ingame

    Makro 1:

    /console groundEffectDensity 16
    /console groundEffectDist 1
    /console detailDoodadAlpha 1
    /console horizonfarclip 1305
    /console farclip 177
    /console characterambient
    /console maxfps 20
    /console smallcull 0
    /console skycloudlod 1

    Makro 2:

    /console lod 1
    /console lodDist 50
    /console mapShadows 0
    /console anisotropic 1
    /console fullAlpha 0
    /console MaxLights 1
    /console gxVSync 0
    /console frillDensity 1
    /console specular 0
    /console pixelShaders 0

after reboots just click those 2 macros ingame once, WoW will be reduced to the almost lowest nessesary settings you need for botting.
You might try maxfps 10 or bit higher if you want to optimize your system further, but for me 20 works fine.

Atm im running 14 clients on just one machine (AMD 965BE, 8GB Ram) with around 50% CPU usage and around 5-6,5 GB ram.
Another problem is, if you're running the machine for a few days, WoW will junk up your ram more and more. So maybe 1-2 times per week reboot is a good thingy. I guess if i expand my ram i would be able to run 20+ clients on it without any problems.

the fps thingy will also reduce the ram usage. And if you dont check up your bot windows minimze em, this helps a bit too.
