It's there because people can't spell properly and "invent" words, which people add to sites like these.

words such as thru are real words all thing such as acronims eg Lol are perfictly valied and can be entered into dictionarys under the proper catigory

However it is not considered proper english and allthough perfictly fine dose not fit the context of a patch update witch is written formaly just as you wouldnt write
