Always Hide Your Name When Posting Pics Here [proof]

A few weeks ago I posted an exploit about withdrawing items from a guild bank linked here.

Well, I posted pictures of me showing people how to do it. It was the only place I told anyone about. I never thought Blizz would lurk these forums and the people who said it are the type of people that are like, "GRAB THE TIN FOIL HATS!!!!"

Well, I wasn't quite sure why I was banned, I just figured it was because of some stuff I said in trade. Well, Blizz finally wrote back and gave me the reason why I got the banned sense the last msg they sent my email was considered inactive. Here's a screenie.



I wasn't sure where to post this, figured WoW discussion was best. I'm going to post this in my thread also.

I wouldn't know who would have reported me, Im pretty good friends with the other officers and gm's, and they never gave a shit what I withdrew from the gbank. Maybe you guys are right, the people I talk to might be a little bit more shady then I've originally thought. Doesn't hurt people to be warned though.

or maybe, blizzard has found a way to detect if people are withdrawing like that and they banned all the people that did it.

You know what else happened after you posted that? There was a bank robbery. That's undeniable proof that posting on MMOwned causes bank robberies. AM I DOIN IT RITE?

Everyone who covers their names up in screenshots are fools, thinking they're way more important than they are. No one cares enough to stalk this website just to come after you. Furthermore, Blizzard doesn't even accept screenshots, I seriously doubt they'd accept a forum link from a player claiming "I SAW HIM POST, BAN HIM" (which, again, no one cares that much).

You were reported by someone, and / or you vastly underestimate the power of Blizzard's internal server monitoring software (I think most people do).

I'd still block out your name, regardless. Just makes it that much easier to find you if you don't.

Blizzard won't ban you because they see your name on these forums. It is SO easy to frame someone then.
1) Your screenshots could be edited.
2) You could have borrowed your friends account.
3) You could have just manipulated someone into giving you a screenshot of their character in certain position.
4) You could have copied their wow files and had access to their screenshots etc.
