Why did you make the GM Island thread inaccessible? I was under the impression this site actually helped people, but it seems everybody went all elitist when a method of reaching it was uncovered

This site is for helping people: People who will access parts of the game, exploit them, and have fun with them, however, as you may have noticed by Matt receiving an e-mail from Blizzard about supposed copyright infringement, Blizzard has their eye on this website, and if moving and hiding threads to keep the secrets safe from being patched, then that is necessary.

I dont agree about keeping private sections on a free site where mostly the people that are members are contributing to the site making it what it is....
I say put back the thread as its just keeping it private from the members who make this site what it is

and dont try and say that thread was getting out of hand, as the last few pages of it everyone was starting to work together, nobody was argueing... everyone was just starting to figure things out... If you ask me, its BS

and if you say that its just because blizz is watching theese forums and may patch it, you should just close down the entire forum as everything has a chance to get patched.... the only thing that makes GM island seem so much more important to people than this other stuff is that its one of the only things thats been kept a secret... and now that people are figureing it out, there are just more people keeping it a secret... some people are on here crying "omg you keep it a secret blah blah blah" then when they find out turning around and saying "i know how but im keeping it a secret so it doesnt get patched" and its just wrong... you are turning into the verry thing you hated when you didnt know how to do it...


remember, im not asking anyone to post the damn mpq's dbc's csv's or any other files, just open back up the thread where we were figureing it out on our own

Not only that we dont want it patched, we dont want anyone that knows how to use google can easily come across it and do it. we want everyone to go to GM island, do we? Obviously not. it would be patched ATLEAST by next maitance, if not sooner.

GM island is much different then ANY other place still reachable in the game. One its best kept secret by not only fans of exploring but BY BIZZARD THEM SELVES denyng the existance over and over. Apperently, you go there and a GM catches you, your banned. The PTRs are not as closely watched as live servers. perfect nogg-a-target. we dont want everyone on the site getting banned from WoW do we? noooooooooooo way.

i moved it back into the public area.. to be honest.. everyone has been there.. whether a few patches ago or recently its nothing all that special anymore.. althought many members of the site think it should be kept a secret, i personally didn't know it myself because all the "nogg" whatevers didn't want people on my site to know it. enjoy.
