    [Account] Temporarly Closed

    My account was temporarly locked last night at 18:00 (GMT), because I've been hacked several times inbetween a short amount of time. Now, I talked to a GM last night about getting my items, gear and such back, but he had to close it blablabla.. Now, I filled this e-mail form on Blizzard's website where I wrote the Classic WoW cd-key and uploaded a picture of my passport. Since my account had not been un-locked today, I called Account and Billing Support to make them look on the case, and the representative I talked with said she had taken the case to the Account Team and talked with GM's about it, to make sure I get my gear back.

    Now it's gone 2 hours since I called them, and they have yet not opened my account. I tried calling again, but it seems they are closed for the day. Does anyone know how long it will take to get my account un-locked again or a way for me to boost the case a bit?

    It can take all from 1-7 days to fix the account, usually 1-3 days.

    Omfg, Blizzard is a bunch of slackers. Un-locking an account takes max 5 mins, but of course they have to use 1000 times more on doing it.

    I'm gonna call them tomorrow again, and if they don't un-lock it then I will yell at them, ffs.

    Ye well, 5 min, how many players play wow? 14mil, since chineses got owned, 11mil, let's say every 1000th person's acc get locked, that's 1100 persons having problems, 5500 minutes, around 91 hours, seem pretty fair imo but ye, they need to research and all, check what happend etc etc.

    Plus they may not do anything to help you on weekends.

    Well, as a mather in fact I do pay for theire service, so I actually demand that they do theire work when it's needed, no matter what.

    But I do understand that a lot of people are in need of help.

    QQ, you pay for their game, and their support. You get their support when it's your turn When you bought it, there was no agreement that you should get your support within 5 minutes. Trust me.

    Anyways, they fixed it for me just a couple of hours after this thread was made. So I think I was lucky this time.

    well how about you THINK a tiny bit while browsing the internet so you dont get hacked all the time? seriously, if your account gets hacked one time it could be bad luck but MULTIPLE times? and you still have the nerve to comment about blizz's work? maybe they just don't like helping retards all day.

    And please don't complain about lack of service that you're paying for. Account security is YOUR responsibility, not Blizzard. So if your account gets compromised, you gotta eat a few playing days worth of subscription while Blizzard researches and verifies your info and restore your items, and ban the other account(s) where all the stolen gold and/or items were sent to.

    Imo, you are the slacker here... When you dont get any antivirus software etc, and then you call the people that actually work with this stuff for a living slackers? They can't just say "Oh, sure man... You can have your account back!" They have to investigate what happened, check the IP's etc... For all they know you might just be hacking yourself, seeing as you can just sell all your gear, send all the money to another account, sell all the gold, and demand your gear and money back on your main...

    I have done it myself once, activated TBC trial on my vanilla account (didnt have any playtime). Sent all the money over to that account, sold it to some chinese dudes and then QQed to Blizzard, earned 43$ that day...

    Your numbers are wrong. There were ~10 million, then after China (6 million) so we're down to 4 million players. (Notice how the commercials bragging about the 9-10 million people stopped?)
    But yeah your basically right, confirming your the owner of the account is the time-consuming part, not unlocking it.
