A couple of rip-offs in WoW

Hey, This is rather common sense, but thought I would tell about it anyways, didn't know where to put the thread, but whatever. I've decided to post a couple of rip-offs that we all know that WoW often do. So I'll start with Storm Peaks.


In Storm Peaks, you meet alot of "Vikings/Giants", and two of them are Thorim and Loken. In the old stories about the Vikings, there are two gods, Thor and Loke, where Thor is the God of Storms, and Loke, his evil brother. As we know in Storm Peaks, Thorim lives in the Temple of Storms, as he also does in the old history. In Ulduar, you could get a trinket called "Mjolnir Runestone", and Mjolnir, is copied from Mjölner, Thors Stormhammer. In WoW, Loken betrays Thorim,(Just can't remember how), and in the stories, Loke(Loken) also betrays Thor(Thorim). Also in Ulduar, there is a boss called Freya. And in the stories, there is two "peace-gods" called Frej and Freja.

Over to Stormwind, where you can see Topper Mcnabb, who says a couple of lines now and then, like, "I'll gladly pay you tuesday for a hamburger today", same as Wimpy from Popeye also says, also Topper says a dialogue where he claims that he's blind, seems to get caught, and then he claims that his being able to see is a miracle. And there is another NPC in Stormwind, called Lenny "Fingers" Mccoy who is a reference to Lennard Mccoy, the doctor aboard Enterprise in the Star Trek movies.

And there is also Linken, that's refered from the game Zelda, where you play as Link. In WoW you could get his Boomerang, that is a trinket that does damage and have a chance to stun/disarm your enemy target.

The following one isn't really a rip off as I know, but in Searing Gorge, there is a cave called "Blackchar Cave" and if you watch it on the minimap, you could see two "eyes" one "nose" and a "mouth", so it's Blackcharacter Cave. :3

You don't know how many names/stories/etc.. Blizzard used from mythologies... I have a book with mythologies, like Yggdrasil, Ragnarok and stuff like that.
