Selling gold question

So I couldn't post "questions" in all the other threads so posted here.

Note this isn't a scammed account or gold, it's my account since I started playing, all gold earned legit.

Do most people that sell gold (I have 70k), use other accounts to do it?

I plan to sell my gold, and then my account. But if my account gets flagged as I have 70k to get rid of, my account might be banned right?

I mean is it worth paying $20 for a 1 month playtime and a cd key, to transfer my gold to, to sell. Or just sell on my main account?

Hmm, to be honest gold selling won't bag you much money these days, I remember the days of 8$ plus per 1000g and i'm sure it was really much higher before that. Now it's about 2$ per 1000g if your wanting to sell it off quick (to the chinese gold buying sites etc) it's really hard to sell it privately and they tend to buy it in small amounts anyway, you could maybe wait until a new expansion is released or prices start to rise but I don't see it rising anytime soon. Anyway up to you. Peace.

All the sites (mmofly and a couple others) are paying 3.5-4$ / 1k, not $2.

I'm just asking. Should I sell my gold on my main account or buy another 1month account and sell it there, so if I do get banned, my regular account I want to sell won't be banned.

That payout is still extremely low You are at risk of getting banned especially as the transaction would be for a lot of gold. I would recommend transferring it to another account then, but even then your not completely safe. They can simply trace it back to your main account and the your screwed. They may even get rid of the money from the gold buyers account which means you'll have them biting your ear off too.

So what do you recommend? In terms of them not tracing it I mean. Or at least not flagging it. I don't have to sell it all at once. Is it better to sell less than 10k at a time?

I tried selling on Playerauctions (PA). Currently the cheapest for all servers and am getting no bites. Some people are paying on Playerauctions 1-2 $ more / 1k for reasons I dont know when mine is cheapest.

And if no one is buying on PA I have to sell it somewhere. No one is going to buy an Ulduar epic'd account + 70k gold ($900+). They'd rather buy the account for $400-500.
