new patch

hey guys i just downloaded this patch but everytime i go to start up the game it says downloading updated tools.. once it reaches 100% the game shuts down. i open the game again and it downloads the same thing again. what can i do to stop this? i just wanna play :P haha.

Go to your WoW folder and run WoW.exe...

ok i got to the login screen but when i log it it makes me download new, small patches. from 5-50mb. after these are downloaded do i have to run them at all or will it do everything auto?

did you just download world of warcraft or did you have it installed already?? because i think you have an old version of wow and need to install all the new patches

i used to play but stopped for 2 years.. i installed the game and got some 300mb patch. then heaps of little ones.. now im stuck on.. as i pointed out in the first post. its 3.0.8.9464. i downloaded the 3.0.8.9506 one but everytime i load the game it keeps downloading updates tools for 9464.. ive tried running all wow starting things but they dont help.. some give me a hand please? or give me the link to download the new 3.1 patch? oh and if i download the newest ones without the old ones, will that be fine or do i have to get them all? thanks!

Umm i'm pretty sure you have to install th older patches too.And btw it's far easier to download patches from sites like WowWiki let's say than from the WoW Launcher

You could try running the blizzard repair tool, or contact blizz

try the repair tool first, then post results
