WoW on Mac doesn't have Warden?

A friend linked me to this as I didn't believe what he was saying, and it is also wikipedia. But here it is anyway.

"World of Warcraft can be played on both Macintosh and Windows systems, but only the Windows version has Warden. The Macintosh doesn't have Warden due to the way Apple designed their Mac OS X operating system with other applications accessing another application's memory (it requires administrative rights)."

Is this really true? I don't know anything about the programming side of WoW so would someone please enlighten me. Cypher where are you!

Yes, its really true. Thats why PocketGnome is that popular and people are running virtual machines to use this bot.

Indeed, but im not sure i wan't to try. Having to get my chars back to the same standard after a ban is not somthing i would risk.
